A rather feeble attempt to jump on the 'lounge' bandwagon, this former shop is really a jumped-up burger bar and creche for mothers whose husbands prefer a drink in The Bell, over the road. The single room has a floor, apparently, but as it was littered with toddlers' and their requisites, it was hard to confirm that. The staff were particularly inefficient and slow, while the yummy mummies blocking the bar added nothing but noise and delay to the process of acquiring a drink. The signage proclaims that cask ales and cider are available, but all there was this visit was Doombar, which wasn't in the best condition. I won't be bothering again.
