Bigger than average micro pub - not much to look at externally and seemed rather full of clutter inside. Concentrating on cask with a couple of Oakham beers and a Bass. The bass was perfectly condition but strangely stuffed into a trendy Vocation pint pot, covered in art. Strange lack of attention to detail in my mind. I do like appropriate glassware.

‘Micropub’ (not really) in a pug-ugly building. Classic long haired heavy metal Black Country owner who good for a bit of banter; when we informed him that we'd done Walsall the night before he challenged us to prove it and after reeling off the list he admitted that yes, we had indeed 'done' Walsall and gave us a tip of the St Marys Club in Cannock. Interior looks like a converted shop or office (ceiling tiles) though there’s a bit of homeliness with carpeting and a huge decal of a stag on the far wall. Loud rock music blaring out at 12.15 on a Saturday, a bit much I thought. GBG listed, plenty of cask on, my Oakham Citra was bostin’ (NBSS 4). Cobs available. Easily Cannock’s best pick.
