Visited 21/08/25. Visited previously as Dirty Martini on 26/10/23.
No cask. Keg offering of Guinness, Pravha, Aspall, Madri, Alpacalypse. Pretty basic, but I can confirm a v decent pint of Guinness!
Temporarily at least completes the set for me again after this one opened a few months ago but I missed it on my last visit to Cardiff. This is indeed a large venue, although I think previous incarnation as Dirty Martini was even larger as I think that occupied the site of both this place and the much smaller Cocktail Club next door. . Starting from the back and so furthest away from the entrance, venue necessitating bouncers here even on a Thursday teatime visit, is the bar against the rear wall, a dark part of the venue, but with a soft white illuminated bar back to punctuate the gloom. Some tall tables with quality leather backed tall stools in front of the bar counter with otherwise lower black painted bench style tables. Tables are laid for diners, but all here were just drinking on my visit. The stage is on the right-hand side, and the pianist was diligently belting them out even though the crowd was sparse on my visit. There is the inevitable Photo Booth towards the back and what became noticeable during my stay is that the ceiling is v low! The area at the front before the steps to the much larger back has its own bar along the right-hand wall with a few banquettes and regular tables and chairs. Guess this is the area for those in a piano bar that doesn't like piano music!
