This brewery and tap room is easily found just off the main road. There's an outdoor seating area opposite the front door, with a few tables inside before you reach the bar. Four hand pumps and a number of keg taps which I didn't look at in any detail. The cask offerings are just one from the brewery in which we find ourselves, and three from other breweries in Yorkshire: Wensleydale, Wilde Child and Yorkshire Heart. The first was a hazy pale and the last had rhubarb in it, which left the Wilde Child to accompany the house beer. Both were in very good condition, though the Wilde Child, burdened with the name Evolutionary Orientation had failed to clear, but I'm inclined to blame the brewer rather than the cellar man. The Blonde was unimpressive - how the reviewers on Untappd can talk about a fruity finish and a spiced edge is beyond me; I'd go with "nice enough". The people running this place are better than nice enough, they were friendly, welcoming and engaging.

Old Boots left this review about Quirky Ales Tap Room

Located in a low slung industrial unit, part brewery part basic taproom. The taproom is a small square room with a rear counter, unisex bog to one side, some scaffolding based shelves take up a bit of one wall by the door into the brewery, a wood burner is on the opposite wall. The furnishings are a mix of stools at high tables, with a cask in the middle and a low table with suitable chairs. The beers were four brewed on the premises plus one from Bosuns. Quality? Well it’s a brewery tap so it’s meant to taste like that for better or worse, depending on your preference you’ll love or perhaps hate the beer, for me one didn’t crack it (too weak) but the next one really hit the spot. An odd aspect for a brewery tap was the classic sample chaser checking across the pumps and being a small place blocking the bar very effectively.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Quirky Ales Tap Room

Micro-brewery tap hidden away in a small industrial estate, but well worth seeking out. Just five basic tables, little in the way of decor and a compact counter, but the customers are here for the beer and a chat so all is in order. Offering four of its real ales in a range of styles, and the Coffee Winter Infusion porter (£3.40) proved to be the perfect pint for a blustery winter evening.
