A return visit to this Heron & Brearley pub located on the IOM Business Park and seemingly getting most of its business from local office workers. Although there is a large area of housing nearby too.

I remember not being overly impressed with this pub on my last visit in 2015, but was drawn back by the hope of finding some different beers. Alas, Okell's Bitter was the solitary real ale.

Located on a small shopping precinct, with a Chinese takeaway nextdoor and a newsagents further along, there is shared car parking outside and there are a few different bus routes serving the area from central Douglas. Otherwise, it's a good 45-minute uphill walk from the centre.

I was one of 3 customers waiting for midday opening. However within 30 minutes, the pub was packed with local office workers in for their lunch and possibly a beer. Its food trade certainly seems to be quite popular. Many were ordering from a specials board at the bar.

The interior consists of a spacious bar area, a further slightly raised seating area off to the right-hand side as you enter and a conservatory popular with diners at the rear. Beyond that is a garden area on a slope.

I'm sure I'd use this pub regularly if I worked in the area. However, it's probably not worth making a special journey here.
