Fairly thin building which has a bar on the left-hand side and a smaller room at the rear.
I'm not too familiar with steampunk, but the woman behind the bar was certainly dressed a little differently. She was very friendly and talkative though.
With no cask beer, the selection was quite limited. Keg beers included Cameron's Road Crew, Gun Scaramanga & Hyde's Grand Central IPA. My Road Crew was ok, but a little too fizzy.
There was not too much to recommend this place, apart from the friendly service. But at least I now know what it's like.

Apparently the Yellow Book is the UK’s first Steampunk bar, it was certainly my first. The polite barperson was wearing Steam Punk garb that fitted in with the busy décor of this small bar. The service counter is located in the left rear corner where a bottled beer selection was available during my recent Friday afternoon visit. Two boxes on the bar were dispensing Yellow Book Airship Ale and Red Rabbit cider. I plumped for a bottled lager that I enjoyed whilst sitting at a table under an awning outside the front of the bar. A ‘beautiful beer garden’ is advertised, but I did not visit on this occasion. Behind the bar on the way to the toilets is a glass covered hole with lighting and a ladder that leads down to who knows where. Live music is advertised for Oct 10th so it is not a regular occurrence. There is however a weekly quiz on Wednesdays from 20:00. I found this to be a friendly bar, but I have little knowledge of Steampunk so unfortunately the theme was lost on me.
