St Helens really is a strange drinking town with some of the best ale pubs in the country (including *the* best) as well as some of the worst dives youll find anywhere. and then there are places like this. a quite pleasantly decorated bar in a shopping arcade that regularly blasts out music that you can hear streets away. I walked into some kind of cabaret performance last time and the room was packed. i would call it rough but there are far worse and it's a happy enough place.
