Surprisingly quiet for a Saturday morning, only about 10 other punters; so few people that the squawking of children was predominant and drove me out early. A 2015 opener, so décor of the more modern bent. A light, airy and comfortable front area through to a larger open plan bar, then downstairs to another room. Just the two guest ales which made sense in context, both fighting strength in Jaipur and Exmoor Beast, though having already pencilled me in a sesh on Spingo over the road I gave them a swerve in favour of a softie. A weird Spoons - unless it does a roaring summer or evening trade I wouldn’t be surprised to see it on the disposals list before long.

Large Wetherspoon's built on a slope in three old buildings, so a range of different areas at different levels but all with a not unpleasant dark but modern feel. There is also a roof terrace and a small patio at the back. Reasonable range of beers including two local ales. No real surprises.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Coinage Hall (JD Wetherspoon)
This 'spoons initially looks quite modern from the street, but the interior seems to have been formed from three older (but all much extended) shops which the information bumph on the menu explains are Grade II listed. Mixture of furniture and decor in the various small seating / dining areas. Also has a rear patio and a roof terrace. Pretty good selection of real ales and ciders from the two banks of six handpumps, and all excellent value (e.g. Skinners Porthleven, £1.89). Additionally, if you look carefully, there are also six further ciders available from keg taps on the bar-back.
