Another South London tap room in a railway arch. This has recently (last few months I believe) been taken over by Bird House Brewery. I haven’t previously come across their beers I have to say. The arch has limited seating as far as I could see with all the equipment and the bar was on the right hand side as you walk in. The seating is outside largely and on the walk to the actual tap room from the main road and has reasonable cover but the cover was needed for sun purposes today! A big screen was showing the build up to the England game.

Their beers were a pale ale, an IPA and a lager and they also had some decent craft choices from other breweries. I spotted the XPA from Five Points, the Brown Ale from Kernel and the Black Ale from Anspach & Hobday. There was a cider but I didn’t record it.

I thought the venue had a nice feel to it with the covered outside seating which was going to do well on a nice evening with an England game coming up. Again I wasn’t too enamoured with their own quaffs and they had the courage of their convictions to put up some other brewer options against theirs so nudges it to a 6 from a 5 for me.

The immediate pungent smell from the drains on entering the brewery was quite off putting, and I couldn't understand why some of the customers were sitting inside. Nine beers on keg and one on handpump on our visit, I went for the Canopy Sunway Pale Ale, which was good and priced at £4 a pint. Had to sit outside though.

Another railway arch brewery set at the end of a row of various other archway businesses, all a little bizarre some of the seating consists of cushions on wooden pallets. It's a keg only selection and I tried the Tall Trees IPA which was good at £2.00 a half. Shabby, industrial, rough and ready but I quite liked it.
