Previously known as the Black horse and more recently the Old Wellhouse this pub is now called the Cork and Bottle. The bar is to the left where there is also some raised seating and to the right is a small area with some sofas and another raised area that houses a pool table. The bar is stocked with standard draught and one of the three hand pumps was unused leaving Spitfire and Tribute as the ale options. Cocktails are also available for £6 or two for £10. Sky Sports is shown and there are a couple of plasma screens along with a projector screen that was rolled up. My visit was on a recent Saturday evening when the pub was a quarter full and some loud rock music was playing.

I didn’t really settle in here and I’m not one for watching the lottery draw and all that comes with it whilst I have my pint. There are pubs more suited to my tastes in the area so this pub is not on my list of places to revisit.
