Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Hop Pole
Large roadhouse in the corner of a junction on one of the main roads into Kingston, notable for the upper storey being painted in a rather unusual shade of blue. Now a Sizzling Pub & Grill, so naturally aimed at the family dining market, but reasonably pub-like when I visited mid-afternoon on a weekday. Usual semi-modern furniture and decor inside, but the wooden benches on the front patio were in the shade and subject to a pleasant breeze on a hot, sunny day. Disappointing, albeit not surprisingly, just Greene King IPA and Doom Bar (£2.55) available from two of three handpumps.
