Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Townhouse

Don't know quite what to make of this place; the website would suggest hotel and restaurant, but even on a Wednesday evening there was a noisy DJ-led pub quiz in the busy back room, the corner bar appeared closed and the larger bar / dining area was almost empty, as was the large (and partly covered) rear patio area. However, it does also do other music and street food events. It did have real ale at one point, but no longer, with a couple of Beavertown beers - Neck Oil and Gamma Ray - and Purity's unfined Session IPA (£5.50) among the various keg taps.

Formerly the Royal, now called The Townhouse. Quite a smart and upmarket hotel with prices to match. No ale on when I called so had a pint of Lagunitas IPA at £6.20. Better options nearby.
