Formerly an alehouse called The Eagle and briefly The Jubilee in the 70s and 80s and located at the very bottom of the lane that wends its way through Henton, this is on its third name and has been extended and enlarged to become a hotel / restaurant. That's not to say that drinkers aren't welcome in its latest guise as it has a fully-functioning bar area, with Sharps's Doom Bar, Theakston's Lightfoot and a third stump unclipped on my Saturday lunchtime visit.
