Tucked away down Rosendale Road, about an eight-minute walk from the centre of Herne Hill, you enter into the outside courtyard section with its collection of bench and barrel seating. The first half is exposed to the elements, and the second half is under a plastic clear corrugated roof. The serving area is off to the right in the first arch and as well as the small bar top has some inside wooden seating and the toilets.
Three of their own products were on the keg taps (Wolf American Pale Ale, Herne Hells Lager and Rascal Session IPA) along with a decent range of guests from the likes of Anspach and Hobday, Verdent, Sureshot and Yonder. Both the ale pumps on the bar were in operation for my visit, dispensing Burning Sky New Zealand Pale Ale and Anspach and Hobday Golden Bitter. We covered both and they were in excellent nick.
There was a pop up food concession in operation on this particular Thursday evening in the second arch to the back which also houses the brewing equipment I believe.
Like other we really enjoyed our visit here and would recommend the short walk away from the centre of Herne Hill. It is a 4.00PM opener during the week and at lunchtime on a Saturday and Sunday.
