This is a proper micropub, with friendly locals, friendly guv'nor, and not much more than a dozen seats downstairs, though it seems there are more upstairs. I was happy enough ensconced right next to the bar, and didn't go for a wander.
The bar features 4-5 cask beers on handpump (exact number not noted!) across a variety of styles and all competitively priced. Just 3 craft keg if that's your preference.
This is by far your best option for interesting quality ale in Nuneaton.

With a few minutes before my train I called in here for a swift half, spotting the same beer that I'd drunk at Hops D'Amour in Coventry a little earlier: Pitchfork Frogbit - a 4.4% bitter. The fact that this is a much smaller pub with inevitably slower turnover means the comparison is a little unfair, but the beer had been excellent there but here only good. Still worth seeking out, and almost certainly better than anything else in Nuneaton these days.

The best place in Nuneaton - and I gave 5 of them a good go.
A two story micro, with a little bar downstairs. Didn't seem to be much cask on - but the Ossett Brewery White Rat was in good condition and I probably would have gone for a Pale Ale even if there had been wider choice.
Very busy on a Saturday Afternoon. Getting a seat with a table proved a challenge too far.
