Strongers . left this review about The Open Arms
Wandering into the Open Arms I thought I’d been transported south of the Thames because the pub had fifteen or so sarf London geezers in watching Millwall play on one of the televisions and Chelsea the other. This is a basic place with three large high tables at the front and a short counter in the left rear corner next to some raised seating to the right. Amstel, Birra Moretti, Cruzcampo and Guinness are supported alongside three Rattler ciders, however there was an issue, so all the draught was off and I ended up being given a bottle of Peroni by the polite governor. I’d probably use this place to watch football if I lived locally, but as an out-of-towner I don’t see a return visit.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Open Arms
Plainly decorated micro-pub, but lighter within the front part due to whitewashed walls and windows on two sides. There is also another small raised area beside the compact counter / stillage room, and another tiny area with a single tall table further back, and a mixture of semi-modern furniture in all sections. With up to six real ales on gravity, I found the 'house' (Brew Studio) Pale Ale (£3.30), Harvey's and a couple of Brumaison beers on offer.

This is an ultra-basic micro situated between the station and the town. There's no hand pumps, and not even a cool room either. Up to 6 casks are racked up behind the bar, on which there's a sole lager font for Curious Brew.
It serves its purpose as a micropub, but the appeal seems limited (and wasn't helped on a cold wet evening by a sticky door either).
