A tiny, even for the genre, micropub offering a couple of cask ales, lots of bottles and also a few ciders. Seating inside for about a dozen people plus external benches with a bit of cover. Usually closed Sunday and Monday, generally open from 2pm the rest of the week. My visit today found me as the only customer unfortunately, the market can be very quiet in the week, the downside of this was that I felt uncomfortable taking notes as I sat chatting to the amenable guv, so detail might be lacking. I had a sadly rather tired pint of a pale ale from Downton, albeit drinkable and not worth making a fuss over although in fairness he did offer to change it, the other was a dark chocolate stout, provenance unknown.
Lots of Pollock style modern art on the walls, apparently by an ex-soldier who suffers from PTSD, good luck to the lad.
Also unusually, there is a fold down TV screen and projector for live sports.
A pleasant spot with a friendly and enthusiastic bloke in charge.
