This is quite a contrast to the Maldon run micropub down the road. This one is larger and has a modern decor. There is also an upstairs room called the Reading Room that I didn't venture into. The main downstairs room has a wooden floor and four high tables with benches along either wall. At the end of the room the casks in the cold room poke through holes in the wall. On my visit there were five Mighty Oak ales available, Maldon Gold, Kings, Joy Of Six, Oscar Wilde and Captain Bob. I went for the Joy Of Six (£3.20) which was in excellent condition. This new venture is well worth a visit.
