Gweek seems to be a bit of a touristy village, but the local pub had a good mix of locals and tourists. The Black Swan hasa few different sections inside with plenty of seating. One area near the bar is a games room with a pool table and a dartboard, as well as a TV. There are exposed stone walls. Locals seemed to be congregated in this area. However, as the room starts to wind around the bar, the space becomes more dining territory with more diners and tourists, including ourselves!

Pop music was playing at an acceptable level. A number of dogs were in and having a bit of an argument, drowning out the music at times. I also noticed a fruit machine near the entrance onto the street. If using this entrance, be careful as it exits straight into the street where traffic races round the bend in the road formed by the pub. Outdoor seating is to the side and rear of the pub with a grassy area up some steps and the car park behind. Signs in the pub warned people not to disturb the resident hedgehogs, but we didn't manage to find them.

Tribute & Doom Bar are the 2 cask ales, with 4 unused handpulls. We did however manage to spy a box of Lilley's Apples & Pears behind the bar and chose that instead. The keg cider was Inch's.

This pub felt a bit more rough around the edges than other pubs locally, perhaps not quite as friendly as most. I could imagine that it could get quite lively here at times.

Thriving village inn near to the seal sanctuary. There is a large tastefully modernised but traditionally-furnished main room with an adjoining restaurant area to the side. Separated by a wall is an area with a pool table. Outside there are steep steps up to a beer garden and the car park, which is accessed from the road behind. Bed and breakfast is also available. A good range of draught beers included Tribute, Betty Stogs, Bass, Lushingtons, Keltek Magik and Doom Bar. The only off note was the presence of Addlestones as a pretend real cider.
