The Crown/Y Goron, Ty Croes

Good looking white-painted village pub. Three rooms, with pool and darts on the left, bar on the right and a further section of bar in a small room further right. Three hand pumps with two Purple Moose beers on. My pint of Madog 3.7% was pretty good (NBSS 3.5, £4.50/pint). I sat in the games room, which is pleasantly decorated, with a small wood-burning stove that shows signs of having been in use but the sunny weather today makes it unnecessary. Strangely, the Old Firm game on the telly was not being watched by anyone. (Celtic 3-1 Rangers at the time of writing, if anyone's interested.) This is a pleasant small town, with a lovely old bridge a few yards from the pub, and popular beaches nearby.
