Major Wilds was a pub that was converted from an old church or chapel,it was situated on the eastern edge of Ashton.
Once inside there was one large room that i noticed, there were lots of tables and chairs plus pew type seating.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Worthington bitter which was on handpump, this was a decent enough drink, the other beer was Boddingtons bitter.
This was not really the sort of pub i like, but it was there to be done so i did it.
The building is still standing but it is now an Itallion pizza restaurant.
