Conversion of an old building into a "bar & eatery" which has two floors apparently trying for the 'trendy warehouse' feel, largely furnished with a mixture of sofas and high tables. Entering past some benches on a former car park outside, we first came to a rather dingy downstairs area with not much happening apart from an illuminated sign saying bar open upstairs. This proved to be a little brighter and featured a small counter, still with TT Landlord and Theakstons Best on handpump, but I can't say that anything on the keg taps looked particularly interesting. Sadly the Landlord proved to be fairly unpleasant, despite a hefty price tag. Not one for me.

Now without its off licence everything is moved upstairs and a cordoned off area outside. Two beers; Taylors Landlord and Theakstons Best Bitter; and a horseshoe of 8 kegs in the upper floor bar, lots of wine and some cocktails as well. All the furniture described before has levitated upstairs and there’s a couple of big mirrors and non functional clocks? no me neither. The downstairs seems to be an occasional restaurant with a number of round tables. Jazzy canned music which won’t suit some (most?) tastes. The beer is fine but not outstanding and it’s a middle class space in contrast to the more traditional pub next door.

An up-market off-licence with a pleasant bar upstairs. The counter is to the left and has one of those horseshoe fittings with nine taps, most selling beer from local Yorkshire breweries and one for cider. All the local favourites who produce craft keg are represented, Roosters and Ilkley being the main players. The room is furnished mainly for dining with tables and chairs but there is a sprinkling of sofas and bench seating. There's a few pictures and a tapestry of flying ducks as decoration. The off-licence section has a reasonable selection of beers.
