I must have visited Liquor & Burn not long before it shut up shop. The sparsely decorated rectangular interior had an L-shaped serving counter up the right-hand wall and high tables through. Heineken, Neck Oil, Inch’s Cider and at least one craft beer were available on draught. There was a man, who I took to be the owner, behind the bar slamming things down and being generally rude to customers and the staff. Maybe some bad news had just been received about the bar’s future. I think Manchester’s drinking scene should just about bounce back from this closure.

No real ale but a good selection of keg on taps behind the bar. Managed to get a seat in this one. Not a bad bar but not one I'd come back to. Suitable for the young, not for me.
