Back to the below average but saw the opportunity to tick off the Brighton branch of this chain of bars when it looked inviting (quiet and sitting by the thrown open bifold windows and not what it would have been yesterday evening)! It has little to nothing to offer to beer fans (generally as a chain), but the venues are well furnished (nice leather stools rather than “shabby chic” mish mash that looked like it had come from a house clearance), nice features (if you like interesting LED ceding lights combined with glitter balls) and clean functional bathrooms. I really am selling this!
Basic keg lager offering that doesn’t warrant a 4 in isolation (so back to the nice furniture and clean bathrooms as a selling point).
I have been to most in this chain, including the prize scalp on Greek St. How many have I ever returned to after ticking off - I think you can guess the answer to that one.

Be at One is part of a chain of cocktail bars. The interior is L shaped and there is no draught so spirits, including cocktails, and bottles only. My visit on a recent Saturday was just after 19:00 so happy hour had just finished. The bar was busy with a twenty-something crowd and for some reason there was a bouncer on the door. The music was a little loud for my liking, but the service was friendly. I prefer a proper pub where I can get a pint so I do not plan to return anytime soon.
