Newish Marston's pub which is the same as all the other ones that have opened up. Caters mainly for diners with, happily, an outside area for all the screaming kids. Hobgoblin and Wainwrights on hand pumps. Won't be returning.

peter ashworth left this review about The Brickworks
The Brickworks is named after Accrington's once claim to fame of having the hardest and densest building bricks in the world with the Nori brick being used in the construction of the Empire State Building and the foundations for Blackpool Tower.
This newly built pub is quite large and situated around a 10 minute walk from the centre and has the popular Marstons 2 for 1 meal deals plus a Pizza kitchen at the far end of the pub.The pub is more geared up for the diner rather than that of the discerning drinker although there is a small area set aside for these who have a choice of 4 standard casks to opt for.
Visited here on a Saturday lunchtime a couple of days before my knee operation and after opening the door we were besieged with a gathering of 5 zealous staff that resembled a scene from DFS,Curry's and a Caribbean jewellery shop all rolled into one with all of the group touting for custom. We were hastily ushered to a table in the back of beyond and within minutes drinks were on the table and food ordered.
The cask beer was fine(Wainwrights and Hobgoblin) and found the food just ok but all in all found the experience a bit of a rush.
