Not really a public bar, it’s a bar located on the top floor of a posh but slightly shabby hotel, very much as an ancillary to the hotel’s restaurant. There is a T-Bar of Tennants, Belhaven, Schallion, Innis & Gunn, with Guinness on something called “microdraught” plus various ordinary bottles and some zero beers. The room is grey tongue & groove with cream or blue walls above, it’s furnished with comfy sofas and seats. They list 24 whiskies but not all are single malt. It appears to be called the “Headmasters Study”, the hotel is in an old school or academy, off the bar is a sitting room called the library, decorated with portraits of, I think former headmasters and of course books.
