The Coast, Cowes

More of a bistro than a pub, but enjoyable nonetheless. There is plenty of comfortable seating for non-diners, and there is outside seating too if you don’t mind being stared at by diners and yachtsmen - it might work in Cherbourg, but it just looks wrong in Cowes. It’s expensive, and the beer – Doombar was the only option – wasn’t in great condition. The music started off badly but got quieter and more relaxing when they realised that MOBO isn’t the first choice of most people. It was OK, I’d be happy to come back for casual meal, but there are better pubs in Cowes.
