According to WhatPub this bar opens at 5 p.m. on a Friday, it doesn't. I called in only to find the staff sat around or cleaning. It now opens at 6:30 p.m.

Situated in the heart of Didsbury village the Bourbon and Black is classed as a bourbon bar with a black coal kitchen,and specialises in unique and rare bourbons plus rye and sour mash whisky's.The bar is to your left on entry with further seating up a few steps beyond this.Upstairs is the first floor restaurant which has a theatre kitchen and open black coal and wood burning flame grill.There was no cask available on my lunchtime visit but quite a few pumps to opt for although the stout was off so had to make do with with the Blue Moon which was an American craft beer and although cloudy (not sure if this is the norm) tasted ok
