No cask here. Basic keg offering of Guinness, John Smiths, Stella, Fosters, Carlsberg, San Miguel, Aspall cider, Madri.

This is a long rectangle, the end venue on a small parade of shops and businesses, indeed the estate agents next door were fascinated as I was taking a picture of the outside of this venue! The bar area is a short walk from the entrance, up a couple of steps. The bar counter is along the right-hand wall mid venue and has a Terra cotta tiled skirt in an otherwise carpeted venue apart from the rear right hand corner on which the pool table lives on a dark tiled floor. There were a few stools at the bar counter but most of the action here was at the pool table on my visit. There was a long fabric banquette along the left-hand wall that serves quite a few small tables with high backed chairs the other side thereof. There were a lot of TVs on the walls, but most switched off apart from one on the wall opposite the bar counter showing the snooker and the large one on the rear wall showing the evening racing. There was a dartboard on the wall that juts out to the front of the bar counter but not obvious it was much in use given its positioning. With the recessed halogen lighting on a white boarded ceiling, it was pretty bright in here and whilst lively, I couldn't decide what this place was, part social club feel, name suggests Irish bar, but nothing about it suggest Irish bar that has a penchant for celebrating St George's Day (they didn't realise it wasn't actually SGD on the 23rd April this year). There is a small, paved seating area out the front with picnic benches but even given the above comments it was preferable being inside!!

There's no real ale here, and no sign of food when I dropped in during a weekday afternoon. A half of Guinness was £1.70.

A tiny frontage belies the fairly large room to which it leads. There's a bit of a narrow corridor the width of the entrance, then it opens up into the main room which goes back a fair way, and extends behind the rear of the adjoining business. Little or no natural light permeates to the far reaches of the pub. It's carpeted, with banquettes and normal tables and chairs in a row along the left hand side wall and with the servery on the right. There's a dartboard, as well as a pool table at the far end. A large screen TV's on one of the walls as well. There are also a few prints on the walls, and that's about it.

There's no real ale of course, and obviously no sign of food on a weekday afternoon. It's a typical shop conversion bar, although the barman (or landlord perhaps) was friendly and welcoming.
