Don't be fooled by the name, it isn't Craft or Crafty. What it is, is a dingy opened-out barn designed for vertical drinking with some majors on keg. 2x cask from small brewers was what drew me in. The girl behind the bar initially poured water and understandably grumped-off downstairs to connect the cask (at least someone is making the effort to put water in the line overnight). Eventually and after some welcome fussing, I got a decent half of Jolly Boys Super Citra (NBSS 3). There's no real reason to come here outside of a night on the town.

After a lengthy period of closure this is now open as "Crafted" and I paid a visit last Friday afternoon. There is some outdoor pavement seating to the front - these tables has QR codes on for table service, but the inside tables did not seem to.

Five hand pulls at the bar, only one of which was on, and that was offering Saltaire Blonde (a staple, it seems, in many Bradford pubs that offer real ale). This was £1.75 for a half. It had a bit of an odd taste to it, and I'm not sure it was meant to. Their choice of name seems a little unfortunate, as there does not appear to be much to draw in the discerning real ale / craft beer drinker, unless I missed something.

On the upside, it has a pleasant cafe bar vibe with music playing (if somewhat heavy on the bass). Food is served.

I think I preferred the place when it was the Beerhouse. Another place that I won't be in any rush to return to, but will probably re-visit at some point in the future.

I was about to mark this as closed following a walk down North Parade yesterday, but see that Andy Hemingway beat me to it back in May. Looking through the window yesterday it looked empty and was either having some refurb work done or having its fixtures and fittings stripped. Interestingly it still has the bar at the back complete with clipped hand pumps, so will be interesting to see what becomes of this place.
