The entrance of Almost Famous opens onto an island bar where premium and craft keg are available. The tourists in front of me were charged £7 per pint of Poretti, so I decided to have a half. The main seating area is found towards the rear where there’s an American diner/burger bar theme with open kitchen. Staying Alive was playing in the background and more tourists were posing and taking photos next to a large gorilla, no idea what the connection is with the diner theme. I noted that the faux old school gym wooden flooring is exactly the same as found in every Lounger venue. I’ll leave this place to the tourists in future.

I didn’t really get the impression that drinkers are welcome here, although this was at a busy dining time and most tables were booked. It’s nicely done out despite the bizarrely prominent gorilla, but this will only really be of interest for those looking for decent burgers in Manchester. Mundane choice of cold fizzy beers.

Another one I won't be coming back to. Only San Miguel as a real choice. Music too loud although they have transfered drinking upstairs with all downstairs used for food.
