Strongers . left this review about Eight Bells
The Eight Bells is a large purpose built 1960s pub that acts as a community hub. The entrance opens into a corridor with toilets to the right, a vault bar to the left, a lounge bar to the left rear and a large beer garden to the right rear. In the vault is an open plan carpeted seating area that is overlooked by televisions that were airing muted Sky Sports News whilst some background music played. In the left rear corner is an L-shaped bar counter that faces a dartboard with it’s oche across the front windows. To the left is a pool room with at least one pool table as well as a large projector screen that hangs on the right-hand wall. This area was closed for tutoring, there were a few school children in there so maybe they were cramming for upcoming GCSEs. The bar counter continues into the much larger rear lounge, which was also out of bounds due to a wake being in progress. No real ale is available, just standard keg alongside Madri and Birra Moretti. The service was polite, but the location dictates that non-locals like myself are a rare site.
