Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Beerhouse

Set back from the main road in an anonymous former shop building with an outdoor seating area having all the charm of a builders' merchant yard. The bar itself was a bit larger than I expected, and the three large windows help to lighten what is otherwise a rather gloomy interior. The atmosphere was dead flat too on a Friday lunchtime. However, it certainly has an interesting selection of six cask ales, four ciders and ten craft keg beers. I tried Woodcock's Relish from Nene Valley (£4.50) and the very local Braybrooke Keller Lager (£2.80, half).

I was only here very briefly because of trying to catch up with the rest of the group of pub researchers after my train was delayed by nearly an hour. I went for Grainstore Rutland Beast 5.3% (NBSS 2.5, £5.40/pint), which lacked a little in terms of presentation, having no froth on its surface and being a little chilly for me. It was very quiet here at 2pm on a Friday - maybe it livens up later on, and there's an impressive drinks menu, with six cask beers plus ciders and keg too. The display of pump clips on the partition near the piano is likewise impressive. This place felt like it was waiting for something to happen, but if I had called in at 6pm I would have been saying it was too noisy, in all probability!

Set in an ex- furniture shop the building is not the easiest on the eye, I'm not sure also I'd call it a micro pub, it doesn't have that particular ambient feel for me, however despite those negatives it ups the beer game in an otherwise run of the mill beer town. The single room is open and spacious and for the most part unremarkable although the far end wall is festooned with the clips from previous beers, also an upright piano stands nearby.
Six cask beers though drawn via taps on the back wall as were the four Ciders and ten craft keg of good origin. I had two cask beers whilst there, both passable at NBSS3, these were Grainstore Rutland Beast and Black Iris Toxcitrasy.
As I said, not best looker but a must visit in town if you like a varied beer selection.
