Slightly off the main road in a small square, so easy to miss. A deathly silent micro on Saturday afternoon; layout was not conducive to group chat and not helped by a barman hauling himself off an adjacent seat with his phone to come over to the jump in order to serve me. Odd interior with an office style ceiling, scree floor and green walls. Smelt of old dog. Six cask ales and a load of keg and ciders, the cask looked like drawn off the barrel. My Alter Ego Sidekick was ace (NBSS 4), with halves of Black Iris Nail (NBSS 3) and Blue Monkey Guerilla Stout (4) also doing well. So if you want a pure GBG listed ale experience then come here but bring your own atmosphere and air freshener. 6.5

Model Micro - sizeable, with an outside seating area. Loads of interesting choice with half a dozen cask and possibly double that on cask.

Former flat roofed furniture store and weirdly, I entered through a door that was labelled "Yoga and Wellness Centre". Gave me an opening line with the bar staff.

Could have spent hours here but limited to just a half of Round Corner Simcoe Experience.

Every town should have a place offering such choice :-)

Larger than your normal micropub, but with all the positives of no children, dog friendly,no muzak, great ale and a jovial atmosphere. The interior is well lit through the large plate glass windows and the seating is a mixture of leather sofas and more traditional pub furniture.Beyond the main bar there is a scruffy lobby, but further back still an area called the parlour with more seating.Around the bar there is room for vertical drinking near an upturned tun,and there was lots of banter amongst the regulars. The bench seating outside is in a good sun trap in fine weather.
On my trip the 6 stillages were serving Market Harborough Brewery Dry Stout and Whirlpool No. 2,White Park Cranfield Best,Nene Valley Hopstash,Magpie Thieving Rogue and Blue Monkey Bonobo in absolute top condition and only £1.80 the half.
There are 4 leading craft keg offerings,a long list of bottled beers and a selection of wines.
My visit was a brief half on the way to the station, but next time I'm in town this is going to get a serious look in.The interior is a bit rough and ready but the ale selection make this a must visit for any serious real ale fan.The hours are quite pub like but it's closed all day Tuesday and doesnt open until 6pm on Monday and Wednesday.Hipsters please note, cash only !
