Wine & Wallop is a small bar in amongst a sea of small bars in this part of Manchester. The seating under an awning out front was busy due to the clement weather, but I was the only customer inside. Craft keg was available and four of the six hand pumps were in use drawing Saltaire’s South Island, Brightside’s Maverick, Spitting Feathers Rush Hour and Magic Rock Brewing’s Dark Arts Surreal Stout, the latter being ok, but at 6% far too strong for the tail end of a long bar crawl. Should’ve known better! I didn’t find the staff to be the most welcoming, both of the barmaids looked like they’d rather be anywhere else than serving beer on a Monday evening. This is the second W&W I’ve been to, the first being in Prestwich. I don’t think I’ll bother seeking out the third in Knutsford.

Not really sure how this ended up on my on-line resource for the Didsbury Dozen. More of a wine bar than a pub. Decent food, service and Lowenbrau. Which was nice.
