A teatime visit to this modern bar on the Market Square for a drink and a bite to eat.
Spacious with bright lighting and several different seating areas, including a more formal looking eating area to the rear behind the bar.
Just the 1 ale on which was Issac Poad Brewing's 84 IPA @ 4.5%. A new beer for me from a new brewery, perfectly fine to drink. There was a couple of good quality lagers on keg including Brooklyn lager.
The Yard does feel more like a coffee shop and café than it does a bar with their being a full range of coffee, tea & cakes etc. available at all times I think.
Both the wife and I had Burger and chips to eat, the food was good and reasonably priced.
The Yard is in a good location & is a good spot to stop while in the Market Sq.
