The Devonshire is an L shaped pub that has been turned into a gaudy bar that was playing 90s dance tunes via Kiss FM that was being shown on the plasma screens located throughout. To the right of the entrance is a seating area and straight ahead is the bar that faces seating along the exterior windows. Beyond are another seating area and the toilets. A lone hand pump in amongst standard draught products and Pilsner Urquell was drawing Harvey’s Best. The only food I saw were the cakes that are offered with tea. There are also cocktail and champagne menus.

The crowd was mixed, but as the afternoon went on it got younger and the attitude of the patrons became less pleasant. I imagine that this place is full of meatheads, posers and their vacuous arm candy in the evening.

My days of putting up with bellends are long gone so I’ll not be returning here in any great hurry.
