The only interesting thing about this is the fact it’s an old church, still with stone slab floors, hammer beam roof and the organ front. Otherwise aimed at well to do 25-35 year olds, but not always succeeding. Ok of its type mainly due to good quality staff and a high standard of refurbishment. Toilets upstairs. No cask.

Visited on Tuesday afternoon, and at the time of my visit nobody in the porch area doing greetings, so was straight to the bar for me, where I was the only customer in the place. There were four hand pumps but only two of them on (the others unclipped), offering Cheshire Cat and Eastgate by Weetwood Ales. I went for a half of the Eastgate which set me back £1.90 I think.
It's an interesting church building conversion with stained glass windows yet it feels open and modern. There is contemporary booth seating down one wall plus tables and chairs in the rest of the bar area and high chairs round the bar. The island bar with the stained glass window and organ pipes behind definitely dominate. Not a bad place and somewhere to try at least once - though perhaps best when it is quiet based on the two previous reviews!

Real Ale Ray left this review about The Church
An interesting and busy venue, but sadly not my cup of tea. On entering the Church porch we were met by a smartly dressed young lady at a desk, who inquired whether we required a table for lunch or just a drink. On entry into the main church area, we were met with loud cheesy pop music and small children running about the place. Four handpumps on the bar with two turned back. We went for the Weetwood Cheshire Cat, which was ok but overpriced.
