Oirish without a doubt.Shabby .scruffy and down at heel but surprisingly likeable.Quite goomy dark interior considering they have a large lantern light in the centre of the room.About 5 Keg beers from the Guinness brewery inc my Opengate -citra ipa5.0.Only Guinness can make a citra beer seem dull.I think they had a cask beer on but I didn't write it down but the older pump clips indicate they have some good cask on from time to time.

Unsurprisingly this pub is unchanged since Alan's visit a couple or so weeks ago. Being an Irish themed bar there are some Guinness themed ads and harps in the glazing, but otherwise not too Gaelic unless you count the mural maps of the Irish Republic on all the walls. A bit unusually, there are barrels doing service as both tall tables and tall stools, but otherwise the furnishings are quite traditional. Apparently there is a smoking area out at the back somewhere, but I had no reason to investigate it. The traditional pub atmosphere was enhanced by the pub dog prowling around doing what pub dogs do - being friendly to customers in the hope of getting a scrap or two to eat.
The ales are still GKIPA and Doom Bar (£1.75 a half). I wouldn't call this somewhere to seek out, but at least it did a couple of ales, albeit from the ranks of the usual suspects, and you'll probably like it if you appreciate friendly Irish bars.

The Old Dispensary is situated close to the busy road junction in the middle of Camberwell.
Once inside there is a single oblongish shaped room which runs to the rear, the bar is on the right side and had small snob screens along it,there is comfortable bench seating to the front either side of the entrance and down the left side plus normal tables and chairs elsewhere.
There were lots of TVs showing the football, the ceiling is very high in the middle area of the room with windows in it.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Doom Bar which was a decent drink, the other beer was Gk IPA.
The pub was very busy with all age groups having a good time on my Saturday dinner visit.
I was quite happpy having a drink in this lively pub.
