Steps lead down to the Liquor Store entrance where a few twenty-somethings were sat outside on a recent Tuesday evening. Inside the empty dimly lit bar the serving counter faces the entrance, £3 for half a Madri from the premium keg selection. There’s seating either side of the entrance and to the right of the counter is table football. There’s lots of random art on the walls and some 90s background music was playing. The service was polite, but I didn’t see anything here that elevates it above any small city bar.

Lots of liquor behind the bar but precious little ale. Had to make do with a Stowford Press cider. ROB has described the place well, so no further comments required from me.

A one room lounge bar down a few steps. It's nicely done inside with lots of black and white pictures around the walls. There's a small area to the left with comfy seating, the rest is mainly high tables and chairs. 1 handpump on the bar, but this was turned around. I asked about it and the lazy git reading a magazine behind the bar said it wasn't ready yet, so I ordered a half of Sam Adams which was a rip off £2.40. As I was leaving the aforesaid lazy git started to pull the beer through and put a Brightside clip on it. As a bar it's probably a 6, but staffwise it's a 1. So due to the customer service free dork behind the bar it's a 3.
