Alan Winfield left this review about The Ship Inn
The Ship Inn is a fairly long fronted pub with its main entrance on the right side.
Once inside there is an L shaped room which is carpeted ,there is comfy bench seating and chairs, there were knifes and forks on the tables which we found a bit off putting, but there was no problem in sitting at these tables.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Black Sheep bitter which tasted like vinegar, the other beer was Theakston Old Peculiar.
This seemed more of a foody pub and probably does not take too much care of the real ales it serves.
