Visited 09/04/26. Visited previously 20/01/23.

No cask. Keg offering of Amstel, Tiny Rebel Clwb Tropica, original and dark fruits SB, Inch's, Guinness, Moretti, Heineken, Jubel Peach lager, Peroni, Neck Oil.

Large venue on the Cardiff Central station side of St Mary St. From the entrance on St Mary St, it is a long rectangle, bare boarded with the bar counter on the left-hand side just inside the entrance. There are high booth tables down the right-hand wall with some tall tables with tall stools on the left-hand side beyond the end of the bar counter. There is a raised stage at the far end from the entrance, housing a guy singing crowd pleasers whilst strumming his guitar on my visit. Up a couple of steps beyond the end of the bar counter is a raised seating area housing tall tables and providing an eye level sight of the action on the raised stage, with a drinking ledge on the front edge. A few TVs on the walls in this space were showing US Masters action on my visit with the sound turned off. From the raised area, off the right-hand side of the venue is the entrance to the other part of the venue that had its own bar counter providing the same quaffs as in the street level side. Variety of seating options in this space, plenty of screens showing the golf also and a loud crowd pleaser soundtrack as by the time I got to this space the live music was between acts on the stage. There is an outside seating area with picnic benches in a quadrangle housing the frontages of another bunch of chain bars etc. On the way out to that area is a small glass fronted corridor that houses a single barrel table if you want to escape the loudness of the inside, but you are not quite ready for outside quaffing in early April in Wales.

A modest entrance belies a very large music pub with three quite seperate serveries . The stage is straight ahead past the entrance desk with a servery to the left and has a series of high banquettes on both sides. There is an upper gallery with high chairs while behind at this higher level is another servery while to the side there is a large seating area away from the noise with another servery and entrance from street level.Free bands play at 5pm,7pm and 9pm with the last act doing three sets lasting until midnight.
Sports flatscreens with Sky but the muzak and bands will outcompete on the sound front.
Naturally no real ale, just multinational keg beers at a high price point to pay for the entertainment.Old farts are tolerated but please no Dad Dancing.Lots of the youngsters will be well oiled but bad behaviour will not be allowed ,bouncers are professional and quick.
Not to be confused with the Brewhouse & Kitchen chain !
