Bizarrely recommended on a Birmingham CAMRA Pub Trial. I thought there was a pub in Brum that I hadnt heard of.
Turns out there is a very gastro pub that I haven't heard of. To be fair, there is a bar and a small drinking area of bench seating. Three cask on - Doom Bar and a couple of Purity's. Mad Goose was better than I could have hoped for.
Phil Collins on the sound system. Plenty of people who lunch.

A fairly fancy gastro pub but with the advantage of having four real ales on cask - at the time of my visit Purity UBU, Purity Mad Goose, Old Speckled Hen and Church Farm Session IPA.
This place is contemporary and smart, and appears to be popular with office workers.
There are two function rooms upstairs, which can be booked for private dining, and they can be opened out to make one large room for bigger events.
Probably not somewhere I would call in for a casual pint, but a very pleasant setting for a meal.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The High Field
Modern restaurant and bar, with seating areas around the 'U'-shaped gantried bar counter, with the dining areas to one side and at the back. A further 'private dining' room can be found upstairs, and there are also some tables out on the front patio terrace. Next door, formerly belonging to an architect, and with some interesting glazing best viewed at night, The Studio acts as a function room. On the other side, an older detached building called the Town House operates as a hotel. Two real ales available from the four handpumps - Purity Bunny Hop (£4.40) and Harry's Heifer from Church Farm - with reversed clips for Greene King IPA and Purity Pure Gold on the other pair.
