Another smart cafe bar on Newland Avenue. This one is bigger than most and has a double frontage. It's also more like a restaurant than the others with a meet and greet lectern as you enter and only a few bar stools and a low sofa and chairs for drinkers use. There's also an upstairs area, but I didn't visit that bit, so there may be more provision for drinkers up there. They have a sign up saying "Why not try our cask ale?". "Because you didn't have any" would be a good answer. There is a handpump and it was clipped with Pedigree, but still no ale. I had a half of Goose Island IPA on keg which was, as usual, overpriced. This is a very neat restauant and we may well eat here in the future, but it's not much as a bar.
