Steps up from the entrance to the Raven ascend to seating on the left and right-hand walls and then more steps lead up to the bar area with high tables to the left and right before a serving counter that runs up the left facing a high, long and thin leaning table. There are also some high banquettes and a dartboard hangs on the right wall with the kitchen serving hatch to the rear and high banquettes to the front. The counter supports three hand pumps, two of which were in use drawing Fyne Ales Golden Mild, a decent session beer, and Loch Leven Brewery’s Warrior Queen. Premium and craft keg are also available alongside Tennents. There’s lots more seating the right-hand side of the pub that looked more like a dining area, only seen through front windows. I though the atmosphere was good and the service was very friendly, but my visit was on a quiet Monday.

A large and lively pub,and quite close to Queens Street station.It's brighly lit by neon outside and has the feel of a noisy bar on multiple levels,but there are sections where you can escape the hubub,a side room looks an extension into the former shop next door.We were on a real ale crawl and were pleased to find two ales on Stewart Jack Back and Citra Blonde (NBSS 3.5). The flatscreens will show sport,the circuit drinkers will pop in at peak times but I found the service friendly and would pop back again if passing.

Good Beer Guide 2020 entry - all things to all men/women. Loud music, food, cocktails, beer, foorball on, bouncers outside.
All a bit manic.
