A keg-only bar, which I wouldn't normally have visited, but the owner has connections with Luton and as a Luton Town fan I couldn't resist popping into a bar called Mad Hatter. The lads behind the bar were friendly, but the absence of a real ale, not unexpected in Scotland, made my beer choice problematic. There were bottles and cans from the likes of Williams Brothers, Fyne Ales and Stewarts, but among the keg offerings nearly all were mainstream. In the end I went for Caledonian Coast to Coast, a mid-strength pale ale that I was fortunately able to forget fairly quickly.
