Quirky nautical themed micro on the arm of the harbour enclosure, converted from what I took to be an old fisherman’s storage unit. They've done well on the interior which is nicely cluttered with various bits of nautical ephemera and sea blue paint but without feeling too contrived. The front patio affords a nice sweeping vista of the bay. A selection of board games for punter entertainment alongside a nice laid-back selection of classic 70s tunes at a sensible volume. Four stillaged cask from a cold room and 13 ciders; my Westerham 1965 was in good nick (NBSS 3.5). For the snack-conscious, there’s a decent selection of pickled eggs and onions – the staff were openly egging me on (arf!) to have a chilli egg which was actually rather good. In a first for me, the pub’s toilet was a portaloo outside. Surprisingly not GBG24 listed but competition down here seems white-hot. 7.5
