Although the word "brewery" appears on the sign above the door, this is just "the plan", apparently. For the time being there are three hand pumps, featuring Wychwood Hobgoblin and Jennings Spunky Monkey. It was fairly quiet, in terms of the number of customers, at the time of my visit, but I don't suppose this place is ever actually quiet, loud music being pretty much its raison d'etre. In the absence of soft furnishings of any kind, the music bounced and reverberated almost visibly off all the plywood and formica surfaces. The beer was in good condition, but I can't see me coming back unless, for interest's sake, they really do start brewing their own.

Now this is a strange one. It's a small place with awful cheap wooden walls, almost like chipboard. A few seats around the bar and two small seating areas either side of the door as you enter. An area at the rear of the bar is used for live music on Friday & Saturday. Kerrang was the music channel of choice on the large TV screen, so that might point you in the right direction for the type of music it's likely to be. 3 handpumps on the bar with only 2 on Hobgoblin and Jennings Spunky Monkey which is probably a rebadge of something else. The Jennings was in OK nick to be fair. The trouble is that it's like sitting in the waiting room in a cold and draughty bus station. It's not for me I'm afraid.
