Yesterday was my first visit to Tapped for 8 years. Yes, it's a modern soulless bar, but it does have an excellent range of both cask ales, ciders and craft beers.

The bar is on your right as you walk in with brewery equipment to the left. To the rear right is a small area where pizzas are prepared.

Beers are listed on boards above the bar. There were 8 cask ales - North Riding Strawberry Cheesecake Stout, Fell Dark Mild & Tinderbox IPA, Timothy Taylor Golden Best, Shiny Rocky, Tartarus Abaset & Tapped Brew Co. El Camino & Electric Works. Ciders were Lilley's Rhubarb & Bumblebee Hedgerow. Craft beers were Kirkstall Virtuous, Lervig House Party, Titanic True Stout, Brouwerij Haacht Brasserie Super 8 Cherry, Origins Sionnal, Bullhouse Dry Hopped Singles Club (Mosaic Edition), Tapped Nevada Pale & Vault City Blackberry Tonka Vanilla Glaze Doughnut.

Not a place for pub purists but as beer range goes, I don't think this place can be beaten in Leeds city centre.

Soulless Modern Bar, complete with brewing aparatus and cafe style furniture. Lots of beer choice - cask, keg, cans and bottles. Less than a week on, and I can remember little to point out. May have been the Delirium Nocturnum but probably just that its a little indescript.

So much choice in Leeds.

The on-site brewery is still at work and even in these times there’s a fair choice of cask and keg beers to complement the excellent pizzas, 10 kegs, six cask and a cider. Nice and slick with anti plague procedures, met at door, escorted to table and given T&T form, beer menu and food menu. After a short time a server takes your order and removes the tracing form, beer and pizza appear Mr Benn shopkeeper like. As ever attracting the staff attention for refills or payment is the sticky point, hence the bell pushes in older pubs, I’m getting a little brass bell for these occasions.
