I uploaded a photo recently of what Meathook is now. It became a pizza place but now it’s a Pan-Asian restaurant called Nam Tuk. Decided to delete it as it’s taking a while to be added to the Meathook page.

This has already been through several name changes in its short existence and its latest incarnation features walls and windows decorated with numerous pictures of pigs, which some might find rather off-putting if eating pork. It's obviously aiming for the higher end of the market in an area crowded with eating and drinking outlets. There are expensive foreign lagers such as Sagres (Portuguese), at £4.20 a pint and Birra Moretti (Italian) on draught, as well as the more customary Heineken, Fosters, Three Hop, Guinness and Strongbow cider. There is also an extensive wine list, featuring wines from eight different countries and a varied and imaginative cocktail menu, including the unappealingly named “Venezuelan Treacle.” Moderately expensive meals are served every day from noon until 10 p.m. The large bar room has a raised floor section in one corner designated as the dining area, although food is served throughout. The toilets are inconveniently located downstairs. There is also a small outdoor seating area at the front, looking on to the busy Partick Cross.
