Old Blue left this review about The Swallowtail
The Swallowtail is a smart modern bar, restaurant and events venue overlooking Burnham marina, situated above the harbour master’s office as I recall. A long rectangular affair, the lounge bar is at one end and the other end is the events venue, mainly functioning as a dance floor at the event I attended here in June. There is a balcony along its length, curiously adorned with plastic grass. I was rather expecting it to be devoid of real ale, but was pleasantly surprised to find three handpulls drawing beers from the Maldon-based Mighty Oak brewery: Maldon Gold, IPA, and English Oak. These weren’t spectacular, but they were in good condition and went down rather well. As it was a long night I don’t recall much else, but I’d happily come back here.
